Introduction to Bay & Friends

Hello all, and welcome to my blog. I’m Bailey, but you can call me Bay. We were on Tumblr for a short time, but we’re moving to Blogger in an effort to move outside the mobile-only world of Tumblr and more easily connect with others.

So, let me start with introductions to myself and some of the friends who will be helping me with this blog. We’ll work on giving you more about us later on and you might see more of our friends join the fun as well!

First up is Karina, or Kari. She’s our fashion designer and sketch artist extraordinaire. Anything related to making doll clothes and accessories will be Kari’s field of expertise and is where you’ll see her join us here on the blog.

Next is Kate, she’s actually the resident shrink (and will do our life update posts when needed), but for doll purposes, Kate is our historian and will also handle PSAs to the doll collecting community, anything we think might need to be known right away. She’s apt to be here when we decide to delve into things like the histories of certain doll lines and characters.

Angela is our doll artist and care expert. Her face is liable to show up when we’re talking about customizing and caring for dolls and when we show off our custom dolls as well. Angela’s always up for a new customization project, so she’ll always have something to show you in her posts. Ange also does our collection spotlight posts and is known to go off on a tangent now and then.

Then there’s Aang, she’s our doctor. She’ll likely be around when we’re rescuing dolls who need complicated restoration work. We do most of that right here, without sending our dolls away to a doll hospital. We enjoy the effort of helping a doll in need and seeing her back to her former glory. We also seem to bond the best with dolls we restore.

Last, but certainly not least, is me, Bailey. I’m our fiction writer. I do oversee the whole blog, but my real forte, I didn’t find until I met my boyfriend, Jeff. He’s the one who taught me to write the stories I had inside. You’ll see some of the ones that pertain to our dolls here on the blog as time goes on, if you’d like to read them sometime…

This blog isn’t exclusive to any one brand or line of dolls, our friends just happen to all be Barbie. We’re open to all kinds of dolls here, everything from Effanbee to American Girl to Barbie to Rainbow High and many other brands and lines of dolls. We collect whatever jazzes us the most at the moment, really, even if it’s not the current Big Thing in the doll world.
